                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ADMINISTRATOR
                   OF PUBLIC WORKS AND THE CITY FINANCE OFFICER
                   TO EXECUTE AND ATTEST, RESPECTIVELY, AN
                   AGREEMENT WITH MATTHEW KENT WHITAKER, TO
                   DEVELOP A MASCOT AND HELP PROFESSIONALLY TO
                   CONTINUE "CLEAR CHOICE" PUBLICATION AND
                   OTHER RELATED PUBLIC RELATIONS MATERIALS
                   MANDATED BY FEDERAL REGULATIONS FOR A PERIOD
                   OF TWELVE (12) MONTHS ENDING JUNE 30, 1995,
                   FOR A CONSIDERATION OF FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Administrator of the Department
       of Public Works and the City Finance Officer be and are hereby
       authorized to execute and attest, respectively, an Agreement with 

       Matthew Kent Whitaker, Free Lance Designer, to develop a mascot
       and help professionally to continue "Clear Choice" publication 
and
       other related public relations materials mandated by federal
       regulations for a period of twelve (12) months ending June 30,
       1995, for a consideration of $4,000.00.
